Objectives.
SK Innovation created and operated a new dedicated organization to spread a culture of performance creation using AI/DT technology within the organization, but while it was meaningful in terms of solving individual employees' pain points, it exposed limitations such as uneven competencies of individual employees and difficulties in eliciting empathy and cooperation from general employees for the planned tasks. In order to improve the organization-wide task planning and performance creation, and to establish it as a culture, we held a design thinking workshop to raise the need for AI/DT technology to be used in the workplace, build consensus through industry and work-related cases, and learn how to generate ideas for problem solving and internalize the organization-wide task planning capability.

Approaches.
The workshop aimed to move away from the usual inertia by addressing the participants' problems, expanding their perspectives, and creating solutions that can be applied to their real work through participation and insights rather than one-sided training. To this end, we assigned pre-workshop assignments before the workshop and organized a customized program to help participants achieve their goals after breakout sessions. In addition, we conducted participatory lectures and hands-on activities for each breakout group on common issues with expert facilitators. Finally, we concluded the workshop with a wrap up session to deliver key takeaways and create and distribute a workbook that can be used as a reference and reference in the workplace after the workshop.

In the workshop, representatives from departments selected to spread the AI/DT culture participated in the process of task-organizing and planning the problems faced in the workplace and deriving ideas to solve them, and provided tips to guide each representative to play the role of a facilitator to engage their department members.

Outcomes.
During the two-day workshop, 142 members participated, generating a total of over 500 AI & DT innovation ideas across 12 topics, which were further refined and passed on to be developed into real-world in-house challenges.
